What to expect

It's a real appointment
Five to ten minutes, one-on-one, on video or the phone. The therapist will ask what you're dealing with, how long it's been going on, and what changes when your animal is around. Have a think about that last one beforehand — it's the question people freeze on. Full walkthrough here.

You might hear no
Not everybody qualifies, and the therapist will tell you straight if you don't. You get the letter portion of your money back when that happens. We'd rather lose the sale than hand you paper a landlord can pick apart. Refund terms.

Know what you're buying
An ESA letter works on your landlord. It won't get your dog into H-E-B, it won't get you through airport security, and nobody can sell you a registration or an ID card that does. Here's the difference.
